For French people July will likely bring to mind what English speakers call Bastille Day, which occurs on the 14th. This is the French National Day, which commemorates the storming of the Bastille in 1789 at the start of the French Revolution. It would be a good time to enjoy the company of your French friends and show appreciation for the values of liberty, equality and fraternity.
