North Korea: Flag and Map T-Shirts & Other Gifts

The North Korean flag was adopted on Sept 8, 1948. The flag has a red background with blue horizontal bands at top and bottom each with a white border on the inner edge. Within the central red field, offset to the left, is a white disk containing a 5 pointed red star. North Korea is situated in East Asia with coastlines on the Yellow Sea and the Sea of Japan. The terrain is mountainous in the north with lowland areas mostly in the southwest. The outline of the map is compact but irregular and combines with the bold colors of the flag to create striking and distinctive designs for North Korean national mementos.
