The flag of Finland was adopted in 1920 and comprises a white background on which is set a blue cross offset from the center toward the hoist. Finland lies in northern Europe east of Scandinavia with coastline stretching from the Gulf of Bothnia to the Gulf of Finland and includes nearly 800 islands. Inland from the coastal plain Finland possesses tens of thousands of lakes within a hilly landscape, which increases in elevation toward Lapland in the north. The map is vertically elongated and combines well with the primary hues of the flag to create bold and distinctive Finnish national mementos. All our products are customizable so you have the option of adding your own text or images at no extra cost.
