The flag of Spain was adopted on Dec 6, 1978. The design incorporates the Spanish coat of arms placed slightly off-center toward the hoist over a central horizontal yellow band, which lies between two horizontal red bands of half the width. Spain comprises the majority of the Iberian peninsula in southwestern Europe with both Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines. Spain is a largely mountainous country with a central plateau and several mountain ranges together with river valleys and a narrow coastal plain. The outline of the map is compact and somewhat square and is combined here with the fiery colors of the flag to create bold and distinctive designs for Spanish national mementos. All our products are customizable so you have the option of adding your own text or images at no extra cost. For example, you could add a name to create a personalized 'Viva España' t-shirt for friends and family or you could create a commemorative mug featuring the Spanish flag and map plus an event's details.
