The flag of the Netherlands was first introduced in 1572 and became the national flag on Feb 19, 1937. It is a tricolor comprising, from top to bottom, a red, a white and a blue horizontal band. The Netherlands is a coastal nation in northwestern Europe with a flat terrain divided by several large rivers and river deltas. Consequently the map of the country is irregular and fragmented. Many of our designs combine the map with the primary colors of the flag to create bright and distinctive Dutch national mementos. All our products are customizable, which means you can add your own text or images at no extra cost.
