The flag of Greece was adopted on Dec 22, 1978 and comprises a square white cross over a blue background in the canton with four horizontal white stripes over the same blue background covering the remainder of the area. Greece is located in southeastern Europe and comprises a largely peninsular mainland plus thousands of islands toward the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea. Eighty percent of the terrain is hilly or mountainous with a few expansive plains representing important arable regions. The map of Greece is therefore highly fragmented but quite recognizable and when combined with the primary hue of the flag creates unique and attractive designs for Greek national mementos. All our products are customizable so you have the option of adding your own text or images at no extra cost.
